February 8 - 2013 : Latest Cruise Line Awards for Crystal Cruises, Holland America Line and Norwegian Cruise Line
Awards for the cruise lines are coming in fast and furious withthe latest news concerning Crystal Cruises, Holland America Line and Norwegian Cruise Line and the awards they have won.
Crystal Cruises
Crystal Cruises’ ultra-luxe Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity have been voted the #1 and 2 cruise ships, respectively, in the world (medium size category) by the refined readership of Condé Nast Traveler magazine.
With overall scores of 94.5 and 94 for Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity, respectively, the 2013 ratings mark the ships’ highest scores in five years, and are several points ahead of most every ship in the world.
In addition to impressive Food scores, Crystal won the top category honors in the majority of the six voting criteria, including Service, Activities, and Excursions—with Service garnering its highest score, at 98.2 for Crystal Symphony. The Crystal fleet further earned the #1 and 2 rankings for Design among all small, medium, and large-size ships in the “Top 100 Cruise Ships in the World” readers’ poll.
Holland America Line
World Ocean & Cruise Liner Society (WOCLS) members named Holland America Line the Best Overall Cruise Value 2012 for the 20th consecutive year in the publication’s annual Best Cruise Value Awards.
Holland America Line also received top marks in the High-Deluxe, 5-Star-Plus, Large Ships category in recognition of its premium cruise experience.
Norwegian Cruise Line
Norwegian Cruise Line was recognized with the award for “Best Overall Cruise Ship” for Norwegian Epic in the 2012 Reader’s Choice Awards from Travel Weekly, an influential news resource in the travel industry, for the second year in a row.
Norwegian Cruise Line has also been named the “World’s Leading Large Ship Cruise Line” by the World Travel Awards. The 19th annual awards recognize travel companies for delivering an outstanding customer experience and are voted by travel agents worldwide.
