In preparation for the holidays, the American Queen Steamboat Company is planning cruises complete with Cajun and Creole Christmas traditions onboard.
Each cruise features everything to to do with the Christmas holidays, from the old Louisiana tradition of bonfires on the levees, special Christmas shows in the Grand Saloon, door-decorating contests and even a visit from Santa Claus and his elves.
Special culinary features geared to the Christmas period, include a Creole Réveillon Christmas Dinner, prepared by Culinary Director Regina Charboneau and her team.

A seven-night New Orleans roundtrip Old Fashioned Holidays cruise departs December 13. Towns visited include calling on Oak Alley, St Francisville, Natchez, Baton Rouge, and Houmas House.
The 5-night Old Fashioned Holidays fares begin at $1,395 per person based on double occupancy, and prices for 7-night cruises begin at $1,995.
